International Webinar on ‘Towards Achieving Academic Dreams: A Guidance Session for Budding Life Scientists’
The webinar was organized by the Alumni Association of Microbiology in collaboration with Department of Microbiology and IQAC VijaygarhJyotish Ray College. The webinar was held on 20th September 2020 from 7.00 PM onwards in the ONLINE MODE. The 4 speakers in this webinar were all Ex- students of the department and now they are pursuing their careers as scientists. Dr. Arpan De (Post Doctoral Fellow, The UTMD Anderson Cancer Centre, Houston, Texas, USA), Dr. SagarLahiri (Senior Research Fellow, University of Toronto), Dr. Adhiraj Roy (Associate Professor, DT Ramalinaswami Fellow, Amity Institute of Molecular Medicine & Stem Cell Research) and Mr. Romit Mitra (Research Scholar, NRE Fellow, Department of Biotechnology & PKSCBR, IIT Kharagpur) guided the students about various scholarships and examinations that they need to qualify in order to start their career as research scholars. Around 80 students of the department participated in the webinar.
