Departmental Facilities

Vijaygarh Jyotish Roy College thinks students as the main asset of the college.  Therefore, the college authorities are always committed to provide them with various benefits.  The students of our department enjoy all the common facilities of the college regularly and assuredly.  Such as free wi-fi, central library, NSS, NCC, indoor and outdoor games, separate toilets for boys and girls, common room, clean and cold drinking water, opportunity able to highlight  their cultural and creative talent in Radio Kolkata(Radio Kolkata is our exclusive innovation. Our students can be able to perform various types of cultural and awareness programme this media. This media enhances student’s comprehension, values), etc...

However, along with the common facilities of all these colleges, the Bengali Department also has some basic facilities through which the students are benefited and motivated to a great extent.

1)      The Department's own library has a large number of valuable books according to the syllabus and subjects which the students can use regularly. 

2)      The professors of the Department arrange regular mentoring to solve their various problems.

3)       Counseling programs are arranged through the skilled and expert professors and psychologists of the Department of Education to eliminate various problems related to adolescent or puberty, depression, and loneliness.

4)       Student seminars, debate, open house discussions etc. are arranged.

5)       Department of Bengali Various cultural events are organized throughout the year due to which the students get an opportunity to highlight their original and creative talents.

6)      Educational trips are organized once in every academic year to relieve the boredom and fatigue of the students. 

7)      Seminars or discussion meetings are organized by bringing experienced expert professors from various universities and colleges to make students more efficient and prosperous.

8)   Add-on Course on Editing and Proof Reading:

Through this scheme the college aims at imparting crucial job skills to the students through various certificate programmes, thus enabling them to acquire an additional certificate along with their Degree certificates. Students can pursue these certificate programmes along with their regular Degree programmes. At present the Department is hosting an add-on course on "Editing and Proof Reading" jointly with the Department of English, Vijaygarh Jyotish Ray College. This Course is a free for all students of the Institution.
