OVERVIEW OF THE DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS

The Department of Mathematics introduced in 1967 as a general course. The Department is dedicated to teaching and research to provide a stimulating teaching - learning environment for the graduate students of the Department. The Department manned by the duly qualified teachers (2) is discharging its responsibility consistently. The mission of the department is to monitor that the classes are regularly held, periodic tests taken so that the students are prepared for the final university examination properly, encourage students to participate in various workshops, seminars, conferences and competitions related to their subjects to develop their interest in subject and depth of their knowledge. The department has a future plan of introducing the Honours Course.
