Prof. Mamata Mandal, Assistant Professor, Department of Philosophy
I am Prof. Mamata Mandal. I am an M.A., B.LIS, B.Ed., NET Qualified and pursuing Ph.D. I have joined this college since 5th September in 2006 as a fulltime Lecturer in Philosophy. Now I have been promoted as an Assistant Professor Grade-II since 2012.
I was the Head Examiner of CU Examinations in 2012 for the Paper of II & III in PHIG Supply and Paper-III PHIG Supply in 2013. Also I was the Head of the Dept. of Philosophy from July, 2015 to December, 2021 in this college. I was the member of Library Sub-committee, Counselling Cell, Sports Sub-committee, Admission Sub-committee, Magazine Sub-committee etc. At present I am the Convener of SC/ST Cell of this college.
I have started my service as a fulltime Librarian from 17th June, 1996 to 21st March, 2000 at Tollygunge Girls' High School in Kolkata. I have performed my teaching profession as an Assistant Teacher in Philosophy at Kalikapur Ramkamal Vidyapith from 22nd March, 2006 to 4th September, 2006. Now, I am the Assistant Professor in Philosophy at Vijaygarh Jyotish Ray College, Kolkata-32.
Last year I have completed two credit courses on 'Basic Concept of Education' at SWAYAM Portal through online mode and also participated several Seminar, Workshop and Webinar.
I am a positive teacher and have a wholehearted outlook on life. I like my teaching profession and I get a great sense of achievement from considering my students improvement and grow as individuals. If I can have a positive impact on their future life, I feel that I am doing my job perfectly.
