Description of the webinar: The Department of Mathematics in collaboration with Internal quality assurance cell,Vijaygarh Jyotish Ray College conducted an online National webinar titled “THE ROLE OF INDIAN MATHEMATICS FROM VEDIC ERA”on23rdDecember, 2021at6.00PM onwards. The target audiences of this seminar
were students, research scholars, scientists and faculties. The webinar started with words of inspiration from Dr. Rajyasri Neogy, Principal of Vijaygarh Jyotish Ray College, who formally delivered the welcome speech. Dr. Guruprasad Samanta, Professor in the Department of Mathematics, IIEST Shibpur, India,, was the resource person for the webinar. A total of 78 participants including students, teachers, scholars and faculties from across the country attended in this webinar on Google Meet (The online platform of the webinar). The resource person explained the contribution of Bhaskarcharyya II in the world of Mathematics. The resource person also addressed the queries of the audiences in details with utmost patient. The webinar ended with a vote of thanks from the IQAC Coordinator, Dr. Sampa Debnath and the participants were provided with e-participation certificate for attending the webinar.
